• Salary £70K to £75K (max) + car allowance
• 45-hour week, no weekends or nights but flexibility required
The Company
A leading food wholesaler, with multiple sites across the UK. They support the food service sector with their produce and are a go-to for chefs for all their top-quality food and catering supplies.
The Role
This role needs a strong Transport Leader, you’ll need to use your continuous improvement skills to review current ways of working and develop new strategies. This is a Senior Leadership position with varied responsibilities, including.
• Be the principal O’ License holder for the site.
• Responsible for your team of drivers (121), agency workers (up to 80), shift managers and administrators.
• Implement solutions that deliver first-class customer service and cost benefits.
• Manage distribution budget, KPI’s and overall performance.
• Fleet management & legislations.
Your Skills & Experience.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need.
• Ability to demonstrate previous CI projects and outcomes. Especially in underperforming teams
• Have previously held an O’ License and have national CPC.
• Experience in busy transport and distribution operations (multi-temp operations)
• Have managed large teams of drivers, route planning and tachograph reporting.
• Can install a high-performing culture.
