PERMANENT ROLE
BASED ANDOVER
Purpose:
• As a major food manufacturing company, your role as a Facilities Engineer will have a hands on approach attending to breakdowns, planned maintenance and project work.
• To ensure products manufactured are safe, legal and comply to customer's quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
• Adherence with all Company Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. To ensure full co-operation in all aspects of HSE and to act positively on any failings or weaknesses in systems or procedures, identified by yourself or brought to your attention.
• Ensure that all working practices comply with Health & Safety legislation, industry standards and Company procedures. A focus and drive of zero lost time accidents.
• Ensure quality and compliance standards are exceeded through good practices to include Safety, Quality and Technical legal and legislative requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring facilities onsite (compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, effluent DAF plant, HVAC, gas, BMS, water, fire system and electricity) compliant and operating at optimum level.
• Responsible for general facilities onsite (e.g yard, building maintenance, kitchen, rapid doors, dock levellers, etc)
• Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded and managed on CMMS system (e.g Shire)
• Ensure that communication and working relationships are of the highest standard preventing conflict and confusion between production staff, engineering, technical and hygiene teams.
• Actively seek to broaden your Engineering knowledge and skill base and filter this knowledge through the organisation.
• Carry out Root Cause Analysis on breakdowns and ensure short-term and long-term solutions implemented.
CANDIDATE
Must have:
• Electrically trained within industrial experience in maintenance.
• 3 phase and single phase knowledge.
• Motors and inverter knowledge.
• Electrical qualification level 3 minimum
• Electrical/Mechanical drawings.
• Work within all necessary H&S legislation (e.g. LOLER, PUWER, PAT testing, Electricity @ works regulations, COSHH.
• Qualified in 17th/18th Edition IEE regulations.
• IOSH training/HSE training
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
• Legionella awareness
• IPAF, PASMA, forklift license
• Experience in maintenance management systems. (e.g Shire, SAP, COSWIN)
• Installation of electrical supplies and distribution in industrial environments.
• Refrigeration systems (ammonia)
• Compressed air systems
• Effluent treatment systems
• Water cooling towers maintenance/checks
• HVAC & BMS systems maintenance
Mon-Fri Office Hours, flexibility around start/finish times
Benefits:
• Target 10% on annual incentive scheme (bonus) – not guaranteed and non-contractual – dependent on company performance, on call £2K Bonus
• Sick pay: 12 weeks full pay and 12 weeks half pay in a 12-month rolling period (after probation which is 3 months)
• Holiday: 25 days, plus 8 bank holidays, plus one day for every 2 years of service us to a maximum of 5 days
• Pension: 5% employer contribution, minimum 3% employee contribution.
