We seek a highly motivated technical assistant to join the food industry team. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the technical operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our food production processes. You will work closely with the technical team to provide technical guidance and support, implement quality control measures, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have solid administration skills and experience within a technical department.

Salary £25,000-30,000

Location: Near Chelmsford

Approval System – This role involves managing supplier questionnaires, keeping track of third-party certification records, and maintaining relevant supplier documentation.
Database – This responsibility includes notifying suppliers about identified issues, conducting investigations, recording data, and analysing trends.
Complaints – Tasks include tracing products, contacting suppliers for additional information, communicating with customers, and analysing complaint data for trends.
– This encompasses conducting and documenting glass and hygiene audits and performing internal audits.
Control – Involves analysing data from the Pest Control Contractor to identify and track patterns.
– Requires a strong understanding of specifications and experience with retailer systems.

Skills Required:

– experience working in a technical role within a food manufacturing environment.
– knowledge of BRC standards
– verbal and written communication skills
– attention to detail in Microsoft Word and Excel
