Job Title: National Account Manager (Discounter Retailers)

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + % of new sales commission

Car Allowance: £5,000

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to take on a key role managing our discounter retailer accounts, including Aldi, Lidl, B&M, and The Range.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3+ years of national account management experience, particularly in the health and beauty sector, who is eager to take the next step in their career.
You will be responsible for driving brand growth, developing key relationships, and managing the full GPP cycles from cost pricing to NPD (New Product Development).

This role offers the chance to progress into a Senior National Account Manager position with the possibility of building and managing your own team in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management: Oversee and manage relationships with key discounter retailers such as Aldi, Lidl, B&M, and The Range.

Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive brand performance and sales growth across your accounts.
Full GPP Cycle Management: Lead the entire General Product Process (GPP) cycle, including cost pricing, product launches, and NPD.
Forecasting & Reporting: Create accurate sales forecasts and reports, ensuring KPIs are met and exceeded.

Brand Development: Collaborate with internal teams on brand initiatives, supporting marketing and category management strategies.
Cost Negotiation:

Lead pricing negotiations and ensure competitive yet profitable pricing strategies for discounter accounts.

New Product Development (NPD): Work closely with the NPD team to introduce new products that align with retailer needs and brand goals.

Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of account plans.

Client Visits & Presentations: Regularly meet with clients to present new products, discuss performance, and negotiate terms.
Requirements:

3+ years of national account management experience, preferably with discounter retailers.

Proven experience in GPP cycles, cost pricing, forecasting, and new product development.
Demonstrated success in driving brand sales and meeting sales targets.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.

Ambitious, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience or strong interest in the health and beauty industry is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build strong relationships.
Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel for client visits.

Benefits:

Competitive Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum.

Commission: Percentage of new sales as commission.
