Food Technologist, E&R Yorkshire

Job Description

My client is a leading UK Food Distributor looking to take on a Food Technologist who is bright and eager to develop as part of the site-based technical services team.

The role is within commuting distance of Hull and is a great opportunity for anyone looking to broaden their horizons within the food industry. This position is site-based and will report to the Managing Director.

The Role:

• Writing Specifications
• Customer & Supplier Work (including monthly travel to suppliers in Mainland Europe)
• Involvement with NPD process
• Requirement to manage customer accounts including complaints and policy management

The Candidate:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in technical within food manufacturing.
• Graduates with a Food Science degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Customer Specification Portals
• Willing to travel to meet suppliers 1/2x per month
