Job Description
Are you looking for a role with one of Europe's leading developer owner operators? My client are an international IPP of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Europe looking to add to their UK business unit.
Their ideal candidate will have a background in grid connection development and application within the renewable energy sector in the UK. They are ideally looking for experience with grid connection from a renewable energy developer or DNO.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively manage grid connections with Distribution Network Operators across GB as well as NG-ESO. This may include keeping them abreast of milestones, ensuing payments are made on time, actioning reports and studies, identifying risks as they emerge and communicating them to the wider team and upper management.
Manage the transmission pipeline by being the interface between NG-ESO and the business. You will be ensuring that security schedules are met, and connection risks are identified as the projects become more progressed.
Speaking with NG-ESO and NGET to identify new opportunities to connect to the grid.
You would not be directly responsible for the construction phase of the projects, but the developer is still involved and able to offer assistance through this phase.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
Experience in grid connection engineering within utility scale renewable energy projects in the UK
Excellent understanding of the grid connection process from feasibility through to construction.
