Our client is a fast-growing group of companies. They are looking to appoint an exceptionally talented Group Materials Buyer, based at the production facilities in Fraserburgh.
We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated to succeed in the management of purchasing as part of the company’s sustainability, growth, and development.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Main Duties
Purchasing of Materials, including – ingredients, cans, covers (lids), packaging and consumables.
Supplier selection, sourcing, monitoring and auditing. Supplier orders, expediting, contracts, agreements and schedules.
Maintain specifications in the company specification system & Bliss ERP standards, certificates, ID Label designs.
Optimise/manage material stock levels / integrity.
Suppliers, Sales & Marketing, Production and Customers. – Advise and liaise with the Marketing Department and Customers.
Utilities as and when required.
Production Planning
Order processing – advise and liaise with the Sales/Marketing Department and Factory Manager(s).
D.A.R.M. meeting support/attendance.
Weekly planning.
Medium term forecasting
Material scheduling
Production Line / Sales Capacities.
Dispatch schedule monitoring.
Artwork / Origination
Co-ordinate all Reprographics for the group internally and externally
Provide and seek internal approval copies to relevant depts. / personnel.
Communicate approvals / amends as required to external suppliers and internal depts.
Maintain copies and history of artwork changes.
Artwork / Origination
Participate/comment back on distributed artwork /repro from NSF (Tech Department)
Communicate with packaging suppliers to control approved changes / supplies.
Computer Maintenance / Support
Mainframe
Bliss Manufacturing System – System maintenance / integrity, Products, Materials, Recipes, and all other purchase / materials relevant Company data / systems Data.
Month / Year End Processes / Reports
Processing Integrity.
Proactis
Assist and support as appropriate with ‘Indirect’ procurement via the Proactis P2P system
Communication
Liaison with other departments as necessary.
Dealing with telephone calls, emails & correspondence and where appropriate deal with the purchase enquiries.
Creation and sending of letters/e-mails as necessary to customers/suppliers and internal company communications.
Communicating with customers and suppliers as duties require.
Attend all relevant department and company meetings.
Miscellaneous
Compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
Fulfilment of reporting requirements regarding waste/recycling etc.
