Join Our Team as a Nightshift Hygiene Manager!

Location: Stirling
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Nightshift Hygiene Manager to join our dynamic nightshift team at our site in Stirling. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, this role offers a high degree of independence and the chance to make a significant impact on our growing business.

Hours of Work:
• 5 days out of 7.
• 8pm – 6am.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Management:
o Effectively lead and manage the hygiene team to meet customer and site requirements.
o Ensure timely completion of hygiene tasks, identifying and addressing non-compliance issues.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
o Support the team in achieving high cleaning standards.
o Ensure compliance with cleaning schedules, paperwork, and post-clean verification processes.
• Audits & Verification:
o Conduct hygiene audits and chemical concentration checks.
o Enforce corrective and preventative actions as needed.
• Feedback & Improvement:
o Secure positive results from external audits, shift handovers, and site operations.
o Participate in environmental and analytical testing.
• Process Authorization & Safety:
o Authorize plant hygiene and CIP process changes to maintain product safety and quality.
o Investigate out-of-specification microbiology results and implement improvements.
• Environmental Monitoring:
o Coordinate hygiene-related environmental monitoring with the Technical Manager.
o Implement corrective actions for non-conforming results.
• Staff Development:
o Recruit, develop, coach, and train team members to excel in their roles.
• Collaboration:
o Work closely with Shift Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, and the Technical team to ensure seamless operations.
• Safety Compliance:
o Maintain a safe working environment, collaborating with the Health and Safety Manager as required.

Candidate Requirements:
• Experience:
o Proven experience as a line manager, ideally within a food production setting.
• Skills:
o Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach.
o Continuous improvement mindset and initiative.
• Certifications:
o Preferred: COSHH and Food Hygiene certification.
o Knowledge of CIP systems is advantageous.
