Procurement Manager
£70-80k dependent on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a well-established food business based in Wolverhampton looking forward to the next phase of growth. This is a newly created role giving the successful candidate scope to work with the Directors in rais-ing the profile and shaping the future of this critical function.
The position will be well-suited to a highly self-motivated, detail conscious and resilient individual with experience in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will be CIPS qualified and capable of mak-ing a real difference in an exciting and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities will include:
• Managing the procurement of packaging, ingredients & indirects
• Negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers for new & existing product lines
• Targeting and delivering cost savings
• Analysing procurement data to create meaningful business reports
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring goods are delivered on time
• Supporting new product development and delivering costing enquiries in a timely manner
• Reviewing and challenging existing protocols to drive innovation and growth through sup-ply base optimisation
• Discovery and monitoring of risks & opportunities
Requirements:
• Strong applicable prior experience within a Procurement Management role for a food manufacturer – sourcing both ingredients and packaging
• Proven exceptional influencing & negotiating skills
• CIPS qualified
• Naturally inquisitive, self-motivated and results-oriented approach
• Confident leading a team of procurement professionals
• Strong commercial & financial acumen
