Job Description
D R Newitt are partnered with one of the UK's leading renewable energy installers working on both domestic & commercial properties across the UK providing a full range of renewable energy solutions including battery storage, EV charging and heat pumps.
Due to their recent growth they are looking for an experienced Solar Electrician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced electrician to join this increasingly important sector and work as part of a supportive and growing team.
This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in renewable energy and low carbon technologies and gain further experience installing and leading large commercial systems.
Key responsibilities:
Electrical installation and commissioning of both ground-mounted and roof-mounted solar panel systems
Working away for commercial installations will be required around once a month
Electrical installation of heat pump system installs (potentially)
Servicing of both ground-mounted and roof-mounted solar panel systems
Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Electric Vehicle chargers (potentially)
Carrying out customer hand overs
Good communication and social skills and be happy to work in and lead an installation team
Qualifications & Skills:
Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations or equivalent (Essential)
Driving licence (Essential)
Experience of installing Solar PV systems (Essential)
Experience of installing battery storage systems (advantageous)
IPAF or working at heights equivalent (Advantageous)
Health & Safety or First Aid qualifications (Advantageous)
