Job Summary:
As the Site Technical Manager, you will play a vital role in upholding and enhancing quality standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer expectations. You will hold a vast range of responsibilities:
• Lead and Develop the site Food Safety Culture
• Responsible for all internal and External audits (Including Major Customer Audits)
• Strong knowledge of Quality requirements including HACCP and BRC
• Maintain technical standards for the site. Ensure your technical team is in line with legislative and customer operating standards
• Ensure that quality management systems, operating practices, and process controls are developed, implemented
• Lead and advise the site teams on statutory regulations and company standards impacting on-site standards, food safety, quality and environmental hygiene.
• Develop technical competency and continuously improve technical operational effectiveness.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers ensuring KPI’s are delivered
• Work with NPD making sure all procedures are followed for new products
Your Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role, you will need
• Bachelor's degree in food-related discipline. A relevant Master's degree would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing the Food Safety/ Technical function at Technical Management level leading GFSI accreditation and customer audits.
• Proven experience in a technical management role within the food industry (ideally Meat), with a strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (HACCP).
• Internal Auditor trained.
• In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, and statistical analysis. (BRC, specification platforms, microbiology analysis)
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing quality team.
