BASED WIGAN

ROLE

Reporting into the Head of Technical, principal objectives are as follows:

1. The Technical Manager is accountable for the technical and QA functions on site.
2. Responsible for delivering the technical agenda, supported by a multi-disciplinary technical team.
3. Management of site technical team with the Head of Technical in order to deliver site objectives.
4. Must be able to make real time decisions to ensure the company remains legal and complaint.
5. Excellent communication skills is a must to ensure customer requirements
6. Must be commercially aware and strive to continuously improve the technical efficiencies with cost reductions where applicable.

CANDIDATE

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with solid technical/QA track record within food manufacturing. Must be able to thrive under pressure and deliver tasks on time and in full. Educated to HND level or above in a science discipline, a natural team leader, have a high attention to detail and be customer focused. Food Safety and HACCP Level 3 is required coupled with experience adhering to retailer customer requirements, assisting with food safety audits, BRC, QMS and HACCP. Must have a keen eye for detail and strive for excellence. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a market leading company offering a very popular range of products!
