Role summary:
As the Technical Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of the sales strategy, responsible for leading the UK technical sales team and managing key accounts. Your role will be pivotal in promoting and developing sales opportunities, ensuring continuous growth, and providing technical support to the company.
The role:
• Lead and inspire the technical sales team to maximize their effectiveness and contribute to year-on-year growth
• Organise and lead sales meetings, trade events, and review sessions to improve the team's performance
• Collaborate with the events coordinator and technical team to provide training and industry event attendance for yourself and the team
• Proactively manage Key Accounts, including client visits, tender preparation, and contract negotiation
• Analyse sales data, product costing, and profitability to provide strategic insights
• Identify customer needs and opportunities to maintain and expand the business
• Conduct competitor and market research to enhance competitive advantage
• Drive growth in both turnover and profitability
The candidate:
• Proven experience in technical sales and team management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Customer-focused with a strategic approach to sales
• Alcohol industry experience
• Knowledge of technical drinks production processes is a strong advantage
