Logistics Coordinator
Job description
Position: Logistics Co-ordinator
Location: Somerset
Reports to: Despatch & Logistics Team Leader
About the Role:
We are a fast-growing food manufacturing company looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain Team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a supply chain environment, particularly in logistics, hauliers, and customer coordination. You will be responsible for managing despatch operations, preparing paperwork, and liaising with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with customers and transport stakeholders to arrange deliveries and returns, ensuring compliance with procedures.
Prepare and maintain accurate despatch paperwork (both electronic and hard copy).
Oversee the daily despatch of products, working closely with customers, transport, and internal teams.
Manage third-party storage of raw materials to meet production requirements.
Ensure accurate management of contract-manufactured products.
Handle import/export documentation in line with international regulations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements:
Strong internal and external customer relationship management skills.
Experience working with Sales, Production, and Quality Control teams.
SAP/SAP B1 experience is beneficial.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (written and verbal).
Excellent time management and a flexible approach to work.
Full Right to Work in the UK and a clean driving licence.
Additional Information:
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - 9 – 5
