National Account Manager (Grocery Retail)

West midlands, Hybrid working – 3 days site, 2 days WFH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage your customer relationship in order to maintain sales and elevate growth.

  • Identify and develop profitable new business with existing customers.

  • Lead negotiations on all elements of pricing, terms, and promotions.

  • Develop annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs).

  • Promote and support new product launches.

  • Manage all aspects of account management for your customer, including any administration.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous National Account management/Sales experience in an FMCG environment.

  • Experience managing retail accounts; Such as Top 4 grocers and/or Coop, Ocado, Waitrose, M&S, Aldi, Lidl.

  • Excellent communication skills, confident in building and maintaining relationships.

  • Confident presentation skills.

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft office including Excel, Powerpoint and word.

  • Strong commercial acumen, keen eye for detail and meticulous.

  • Can fit into a small team and demonstrate a team approach.

  • Ability to make informed decisions at pace.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Must be willing to travel

£50k salary + £6k Car allowance + Bonus
