Job: Senior New Product Development (NPD) Technologist

Location:  North Yorkshire

Salary: circa £36k dep on experience plus benefits

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior NPD Technologist to provide high quality development concepts which meet both company and customer requirements. You will manage development projects from initial concept right through to product launch, displaying a proactive and innovative approach in the development of the businesses products.

Taking responsibility for a number of dedicated retail accounts and specific branded projects, you will carry out idea generation prior to starting projects and translate briefs through kitchen and pilot plant work, including product costings, factory trials and artwork checking. You must maintain close contact with the NPD manager, sales team and the factory to ensure clear communication throughout the process; working closely with both internal and external customers to ensure all parties are fully briefed on the project status.

Candidates for this role will ideally hold a degree or equivalent in food science coupled with practical product development experience gained within a food manufacturing environment. Self motivated, you must have experience of product development from concept through to launch with the ability to present your ideas in a clear and concise manner. This is a customer facing role, requiring you to be innovative, and to have excellent customer liaison and presentation skills.
