Market Leading Food Manufacturer looking to recruit...

 

PERMANENT ROLE- FULL TIME OR PART TIME  

 

Reporting to the Technical Director, our client are looking for a Technical Co-ordinator who will be responsible for managing the own brand and external customers’ specification requirements. You will be responsible for reviewing copy artwork to ensure that pack information is accurate so you will understand the importance of getting things right first time. You will enjoy a varied role where you will also provide support within the Technical team.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Complete all internal and external customer own brand specifications e.g. Aldi, Morrisons

  • Produce “back of pack” information for all new products to allow pack copy to be generated

  • Review & sign off all artwork together with Technical Director and Brand Director

  • Liaise with Brandbank to ensure data is kept up to date at all times

  • Carry out cooking & freezer validations

  • Maintain product database

  • Co-ordinate and maintain the allergen management program

  • Deputise for the Technical Director in their absence

  • Participate in the company HACCP team

  • Assist in third party audits such as BRC

  • Completion of internal audits

 

Ideal candidate:

 

  • A food science related qualification is essential

  • Previous experience in a Technical role within the food industry

  • Sound knowledge of packaging and labelling legislation.

  • Experience completing ALDI specification will be an advantage

  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Effective IT skills, (MS Office – excel, word, outlook)

  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK

 

Hours – Monday to Friday, days they are open to considering a full-time employee or 3-4 days part time.

Hybrid – 1-2 days a week working from home.

Pension – Government auto-enrolment

Annual leave – 20 + 8 stats for full-time
