About the Role
As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in developing accurate demand forecasts and providing actionable insights to drive business success. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient demand planning, category analysis, and strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Planning:
- Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and external factors to create short and long-term demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather relevant forecasting information.
- Refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and mitigate risks.
- Evaluate promotional impacts and contribute to promotional strategies.
- Category Analysis:
- Support the Category & Insight Manager with category reviews, retailer presentations, and insight projects.
- Analyse competitor performance and identify trends to inform future strategies.
- Update and present data for retailer meetings, highlighting performance enhancement opportunities.
- Conduct price/pack modelling to optimise decision-making.
About You
I am looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have:
- A background in demand planning in food manufacturing
- Proven experience working with the UK’s top retailers (ie; Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons).
- Proficiency in data platforms like Kantar or Nielsen, and excellent analytical skills with large datasets.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- A degree-level qualification, ideally in a business-related subject. Or, relevant working experience and life skills
