The Opportunity:

D R Newitt are working with an exciting developer within the UK Renewable Energy industry who specialise in Commercial Solar & BESS projects.

Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their experienced Design function.

If you're looking to join a passionate and highly capable team this will be the role for you!

In your new role you will be responsible for:

• To be able to Calculate cable sizes and electrical protection schemes using industry software.

• Draw schematics and diagrams for installation teams to use onsite.

• Liaise with manufacturers of mounting frame to obtain their designs.

• Troubleshooting - Using test equipment to diagnose problems and fix them.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Electrical Power Engineering Degree or HNC/HND level with experience in an electrical design role.

• Familiar with Solar PV design software such as PVSol or SolarEdge.

• Familiar with CAD or similar drawing packages.

• To be a standout candidate for this role you will need to have proven AC System design experience.
