Multi Skilled Engineer (Pitman Shifts)

A Global FMCG Food Manufacturer with a Multi Million turnover is currently recruiting for a Multi skilled Shift Engineer / Multi skilled Engineer with a mechanical bias to join the team. Reporting into the Lead engineer this role will have overall responsibility for maintaining efficient operation of the process equipment and to ensure that other than planned downtime the processing plant is available and running at optimum levels at all times.

This role will require strong electrical and mechanical knowledge of engineering and Pumps, pneumatic valve knowledge would be beneficial.

Multi Skilled Engineer responsibilities:

• Carry out PPM, corrective and improvement actions on all packing and process machines

• Use continuous improvement techniques and best practice to improve machine efficiencies.

• Deliver and develop effective re-active maintenance, repairs & improvements

• Use of and feedback on, appropriate spares required

• Provide correct and effective communication to all ‘Stakeholders’

• Generate and complete work orders on the CMMS.

• Help develop and implement effective PM schedules

• Support and achieve the engineering KPI’s

• Assist the Lead Engineer in identifying and carrying out improvements

• Complete weekend maintenance when the equipment is not in production

• Send a detailed daily shift report

You will be a Multi skilled engineer / Shift Engineer used to working in a manufacturing environment. You will have a Logical approach to problem solving, be hard working , highly organized with Excellent fault finding and root cause analysis skills

This role will require strong electrical and mechanical knowledge of engineering

and Pumps, pneumatic valve knowledge would be beneficial.
