Product Developer
Job description
Join a friendly, innovative team as a Product Developer, taking concepts from ideation to launch in a fast-paced environment. You'll be working on diverse projects, collaborating with a team of three, and reporting to the NPD Manager.
Role Accountabilities
- Business Communication: Maintains relationships with relevant functions to support development process activities.
- Customer: Has a strong overall awareness of retailer development requirements.
- Culinary: Demonstrates an interest and passion for the product area.
- Product Innovation: Identifies emerging food and market trends with a passion for food and a drive to innovate.
- Business Knowledge: Possesses a good understanding of relevant site capabilities.
- Product Development Cycle: Uses recipe management systems to generate all key recipe information and costings in line with commercial targets. Delivers all development tasks to the required standards and timescales.
- Market Awareness: Understands comparative products from all retailers and effectively captures and communicates relevant changes and innovations.
- Behaviours: Displays attention to detail, works at a fast pace, and demonstrates a positive, dynamic, creative, and organised approach. Curious and aligned with the client’s values.
About You
- Excellent PC skills
- A food-related degree or relevant experience
- A valid driving licence
- Resilient and self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Experience in project management, critical path, and NPD Stage Gate management
- Organised, an effective communicator, and a team player
- Eager to learn and grow within the role and business
- A proven track record of launching new products and effective planning and organisational skills
What’s on offer?
A starting salary in the region of £25,000–£35,000.
