Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf
Shift : Monday – Friday – Rotating Shifts
Are you an experienced Production Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and fast-paced manufacturing business that’s undergoing significant growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a background in manufacturing to take ownership of a key department and make a real impact.
The Role
As the Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the production floor. You’ll ensure that all production activities run efficiently, safely, and in line with business targets. You’ll be working closely with shift leaders, engineering teams, and other departments to meet output, quality, and safety standards—all while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the coordination of daily production operations across multiple lines.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and training to meet production demands.
Drive performance metrics including productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
Promote and enforce health and safety practices throughout the site.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
Monitor and control production costs, including labour and overtime.
Lead, support, and develop shift managers and production staff.
Report on production KPIs and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
Work cross-functionally with departments such as HR, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a similar production or operations management role.
Background in food manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
IOSH certification or similar health & safety qualification.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Able to work well under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
