Sales Manager – Chemicals Industry

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: €95,000 + Bonus
Hours: Full-time, Office-based

The Role

The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coaching a team of five internal and external account managers, driving revenue growth, and implementing strategic sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing the sales team to achieve individual and overall business targets.

  • Implementing the sales strategy and ensuring the team meets or exceeds growth objectives.

  • Analysing sales data to identify trends, shortfalls, and opportunities, adjusting strategies accordingly.

  • Driving sales campaigns across multiple business sectors.

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

    Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sector-specific sales groups.

  • Managing and tracking all sales activities through the CRM system.

  • Preparing and delivering reports and presentations to senior management.

  • Acting as a key member of the Leadership Team, contributing to overall depot and regional business success.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management (minimum 3 years) within the chemical industry or a related field such as pharmaceuticals.

  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a track record of developing successful sales teams.

  • Ability to drive organic growth and identify new business opportunities.

  • Experience in data analysis and sales strategy development.

  • Strong account management skills in a B2B environment.

    Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage at board level.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a diverse team across different experience levels.

  • Comfortable working within a large multinational organisation while maintaining a hands-on, results-driven approach.

A degree in Chemistry or a related science field is preferred.
