An excellent opportunity has a risen to join a UK food manufacturing leader in their field as Technical Compliance Manager 

Role Responsibilities

  • Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Ensure the QMS aligns with BRC, customer, and legislative requirements.

  • Maintain and update the QMS to ensure compliance and certification readiness.

  • Internal Audits and Corrective Actions:

  • Manage pre-requisite internal audit systems.

  • Lead corrective action implementation for audit findings.

  • HACCP Ownership:

  • Co-manage the site HACCP plan with accountability for its maintenance.

  • Actively participate in validation and review of HACCP systems.

  • Performance Monitoring:

  • Update key performance indicators (KPIs) for daily meetings.

  • Complaint Investigations:

  • Assist or lead investigations into customer complaints.

  • Environmental Monitoring:

  • Maintain and update the environmental monitoring schedule.

  • Address and resolve identified issues promptly.

  • Calibration Management:

  • Keep the calibration log and certificates current.

  • Coordinate with third parties for calibration services and site visits.

  • Pest Control:

  • Oversee pest control actions to ensure compliance with deadlines.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Work with other departments on testing requirements for NPD projects.

  • Communication and Coaching:

  • Communicate food safety, legality, and quality risks clearly.

  • Engage non-technical teams in a coaching manner to address non-compliances.

  • Team Leadership (when required):

  • Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Factory Technical Manager.

  • Manage the Quality team and handle daily food safety, quality, and legal requirements.

  • Proactive: Anticipates risks and takes timely action to mitigate them.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
