Laboratory Technician
Job description
My client based in Hertfordshire are looking for a motivated individual to join their technical team. If you have previously worked in a laboratory environment or have just graduated with a science degree and are looking for your first job to grow in a leading food manufacturing company, then this might be the job for you!
The role:
•Maintain and organize lab operations, ensuring smooth daily functionality.
•Manage consumables inventory and prepare materials for use.
•Conduct routine sample analysis and support quality assessments.
•Prepare samples for client requests.
•Set up, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment.
•Arrange tastings for shelf-life studies and competitor reviews.
•Follow safety procedures, maintain lab cleanliness, and manage waste.
The candidate:
•Science-related qualifications (GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent) or lab experience required.
•Ability to operate and calibrate technical lab equipment.
•Strong organizational, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
•Good communication and teamwork abilities.
•Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
