Laboratory Technician

Job description

My client based in Somerset are looking for a motivated individual to join their technical team. If you have previously worked in a laboratory environment or have just graduated with a food science or chemistry degree and are looking for your first job to grow in a leading food manufacturing company, then this might be the job for you!
 
The role:
• Accurately prepare and compound samples as required, ensuring they meet the specifications and timelines set by customers.
• Keep the lab organized, tidy, and free of waste, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
• Coordinate the dispatch of samples to customers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Accurately document all laboratory work, including formulations, sample preparation, and customer correspondence.
 
The candidate:
• Food Science or Chemistry Degree
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet lab KPIs.
• Proficiency in lab databases and computer systems.
 
Benefits:
• Salary circa £25,000
• Monday – Friday 
• Standard Business Hours
