Assistant Technical Manager
Overview:
As an Assistant Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Technical Manager in ensuring food safety and compliance across all operations. You will be responsible for managing company QMS to ensure compliance with all industry regulations and third party standards, and support the continuous improvement initiatives on site.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Technical Manager lead and develop the team towards achieving key objectives, monitoring KPI's and conducting performance reviews.
- Maintain company QMS and site specification system, ensuring all information is updated and accurate.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure raw material compliance with customer and third party standards, managing supplier approval and customer portals.
- Managing the internal audit schedule and supporting third party audits by completing traceability exercises and raising non-conformance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the UK food industry, within a technical/quality role
- Minimum of HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3.
- Flexibility for occasional travel between sites, full UK driving licence.
- Food Related Degree
