Despatch Team Leader

Our client is a leading food producer in the UK. They have expanded in the past few years, following a multi-million dollar investment, and the business's growth continues.

You will have a hands-on attitude. You will be responsible for a team of picking operatives (15-20) collating and generating pallets of multi-product retailers’ trays and cardboard SKUs from system-generated prick sheets. You will also be responsible for moving these pallets onto vehicles for distribution, up to 50 vehicles a day split across various department areas.

Attributes required:

• Fast-moving warehouse pick experience, such as RDC centres

• Strong leadership skills and people motivation 

• Works on own initiative

• Develop KPIs and monitor

• Manage teams’ absence & holidays

• Counterbalance forklift licence preferred but not essential

• Flexible working pattern including weekend

• Management of Health & Safety procedures in their area

• Good record-keeping and administration skills

You will be working on a day shift, 7 am – 7 pm, 7 shifts over 14 days (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)
